Book Club (Ages 7 and 8) – April 2024

For those who haven’t been part of it before, a little about it: I set up the book club in December 2020, and we’ve read over fifty books since then. Each edition is six weeks long, and I curate the four books we read during these six weeks, paying attention not just to content but also to what we can do with each book. The idea of reading together is to enjoy the process of reading and to build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking.

Over the course of six weeks in April and May 2024, we will be reading When Jiya Met Urmila (Shabnam Minwalla), a book of mine–Dhara’s Revolution, By Royal Appointment (Jeffrey Archer), and Strangus Derangus & Other Adventures of Little Shambu (Reena I. Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:15 pm

Age-group: 7 and 8 years 

Early Bird Fee: ₹4,000

Fee: ₹4,500 (includes the books if you register from India before 4 April)

Buddy Fee: ₹4,000 (per head for two or more participants)
