For those who haven’t been part of it before, a little about it: I set up the book club in December 2020, and we’ve read dozens of books since then. Each edition is six weeks long, and I curate the four books we read during these six weeks, paying attention not just to content but also to what we can do with each book. The idea of reading together is to enjoy the process of reading and to build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking.

Over the course of six weeks in February and March 2024, we will be reading A Pinch of Magic (Asha Nehemiah), Trunk Call for Ajju (Anjana Nagabhushana), The Canary Caper (Ron Roy), and Gobi Goes Viral (Vibha Batra). Click on the book titles for outlines of what we will do as we read each book.

Dates: 01 February to 12 March 2024

Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:15 pm

Age-group: 7 and 8 years 

Early Bird Fee: ₹4,000

Fee: ₹4,500 (includes the books if you register from India before 23 January)
