For those who haven’t been part of it before, a little about it: I set up the book club in December 2020, and we’ve read over sixty books since then. Each edition is six weeks long, and I curate the four books we read during these six weeks, paying attention not just to content but also to what we can do with each book. The idea of reading together is to enjoy the process of reading and to build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking.

Over the course of six weeks in October and November 2024, we will be reading Susie Will Not Speak (Shruthi Rao), Spellbound (Nalini Sorensen), The Talking T-Rex (Ron Roy), and a book of mine, The Best Idea of All. Click on the book titles for outlines of what we will do as we read each book.

Dates: 01 October to 12 November 2024
(31 August is a holiday for Diwali)

Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:15 pm

Age-group: 7 and 8 years 

Early Bird Fee: ₹4,200

Fee: ₹4,500 (books will be delivered anywhere in India if you register on or before 24 September)

Buddy Fee: ₹4,000 (per head for two or more participants)

As this is a yearlong programme, you can also register for more than one edition at a time. Contact me to find out the details of the fee.
