Registrations are now open for the summer edition of Read, Write, Explore, an ongoing online reading and creative writing programme for ages nine and ten. During the twelve online interactions of each edition, we read excerpts from three books. Unlike at my book club for ages seven and eight, we devote less class time to reading aloud and more to activities and writing. Additionally, one class every two weeks focuses on creative writing. Do note that this means that even though we read excerpts in class, most of the reading happens independently!
This programme is designed for children who want just a taste of creative writing but are not (yet) excited about writing regularly. In some ways, it is the best of both worlds—the joy of reading and the fun of creative writing—without the editing and polishing that writing requires.

At Read, Write, Explore, in April and May 2025, we will be reading The Paradise Flycatcher (Deepak Dalal), I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944 (Lauren Tarshis) and Nimmi’s Bizuper Birthday (Shabnam Minwalla). As we draw closer to the programme, I will share outlines of what we will do as we read each one.

Early Bird Fee: ₹4,500 (valid until 15 March; books will be delivered anywhere in India)
