Read, Write, Explore (Ages 9 and 10) – February-March 2025
Registrations are now open for the first edition of Read, Write, Explore 2025! This is an ongoing online reading and creative writing programme for ages nine and ten. During the twelve online interactions of each edition, we read excerpts from three books. Unlike at my book club for ages seven and eight, we devote less class time to reading aloud and more to activities and writing. Additionally, one class every two weeks focuses on creative writing. Do note that this means that even though we read excerpts in class, most of the reading happens independently!
This programme is designed for children who want just a taste of creative writing but are not (yet) excited about writing regularly. In some ways, it is the best of both worlds—the joy of reading and the fun of creative writing—without the editing and polishing that writing requires.
In February and March 2025, we will be reading Kushti Kid (Vibha Batra), Trouble-Maker (Andrew Clements) and Misfit Madhu (Divya Anand). Click on the book titles for outlines of what we will do as we read each one.

Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:15 pm
Age-group: 9 and 10 years
Fee: ₹5,000
Early Bird Fee: ₹4,500 (valid until 15 January; books will be delivered anywhere in India)
