Read, Write, Explore is an ongoing online reading and creative writing programme for ages nine and ten. During the twelve online interactions of each edition, we read excerpts from three books. Unlike at my book club for ages seven and eight, we devote less class time to reading aloud and more to activities and writing. Additionally, one class every two weeks focuses on creative writing. Do note that this means that even though we read excerpts in class, most of the reading happens independently!
This programme is designed for children who want just a taste of creative writing but are not (yet) excited about writing regularly. In some ways, it is the best of both worlds–the joy of reading and the fun of creative writing–without the editing and polishing that writing requires. For those who want to delve deeper into writing, explore my intensive online creative writing programme for the same age-group.
At Read, Write, Explore in October and November 2024, we will be reading Petu Pumpkin: Freedom Fighter (Arundhati Venkatesh), Just Harriet (Elana K. Arnold) and Dungeon Tales II (Venita Coelho). Click on the book titles for outlines of what we will do as we read each book.

(31 October is a holiday for Diwali)
Online interactions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:15 pm
Age-group: 9 and 10 years
Early Bird Fee: ₹4,500
Fee: ₹5,000 (books will be delivered anywhere in India if you register on or before 24 September)
As this is a yearlong programme, you can also register for more than one edition at a time. Contact me to find out the details of the fee.
