Varsha Seshan’s Book Club (Ages 7 and 8) – October 2022

The next one will begin in December 2022, and I will open for registrations in the first week of November.

Each edition is six weeks long, and I curate the four books we read, paying attention not just to content but also to what we can do with each book. The idea of reading together is to enjoy the process of reading and to build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking.

In October and November 2022, we will be reading The Shy Supergirl (Shabnam Minwalla), A Cello on the Wall (Adèle Tariel, translated by Nakashi Chowdhry), Yikes! Bikes! (Abby Klein) and The Adventures of Mooli and the Bully on Wheels (Asha Nehemiah). Click on the titles to read outlines of what we will do as we read each book.

Dates: 4 October to 11 November 2022

Online interactions: Tuesdays and Fridays, 4:30-5:15pm

Age-group: 7 and 8 years 

Early Bird Fee: ₹4,000 (valid until 15 September)

Fee: ₹4,500 (includes the books if you register from India before 26 September)
