Read, Write, Explore (Ages 9 and 10) – February-March 2025

'Read, Write, Explore' is an ongoing reading and creative writing programme for ages nine and ten. In February and March 2025, we will be reading 'Kushti Kid' (Vibha Batra), 'Trouble-Maker' (Andrew Clements) and 'Misfit Madhu' (Divya Anand).
During the twelve online interactions, we read excerpts from three books and do activities of all kinds. Additionally, one class every two weeks focuses on creative writing. Do note that this means that even though we read excerpts in class, most of the reading happens independently! 
Classes are held online on Zoom, and there are only nine seats per batch!

THIS BATCH IS SOLD OUT! The next batch for the same age-group will begin in October 2025.
Over the course of three months, we will put together an e-magazine, for which we will explore poetry, drama and stories, working on feedback and the process of editing and rewriting. The fee includes 12 online interactions, up to three guest sessions and access to a private forum, where participants share their work. At the end of the course, I will create an e-magazine putting together the best work shared during the programme.
Classes are held on Zoom and there are only six seats per batch.

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EDITION OF MY BOOK CLUB. A new edition begins every alternate month.
In April-May 2025, we will read a book of mine, 'The Clockwala's Clues', 'The Adventures of Mooli and the Blue-Legged Alien' (Asha Nehemiah), 'The Chocolate Touch' (Patrick Skene Catling), and 'The Astoundingly True Adventures of Daydreamer Dev' (Ken Spillman).
During every edition of my book club, we have 12 online interactions (45 minutes each), during which we read excerpts from four books. Based on what we read, we build links with other activities, including listening, performing, writing and critical thinking. Do note that classes are held on Zoom and that there are only nine seats per batch!

This workshop is a guest session at my online creative writing programme. It is free for those who are currently part of my writing programmes, but open to non-participants on payment of a fee. It will be conducted by Vineet Nair, comic book illustrator and Art Director of Tinkle.
