Building Dramatic Characters
November 12, 2022, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
₹400We’re coming to the end of the drama module of my creative writing programme, so it’s time for a drama workshop! This time, I have invited Neha Singh, a children’s author, theatre practitioner, storyteller, and women’s rights activist.
Neha runs a theatre company called ‘Rahi’ where she produces, directs, acts and writes plays that bring to stage stories that aren’t usually told – including stories of women, dalits, and unsung heroes from our history. She has written eleven books for children and loves telling stories to children through drama, music and dance.
Neha runs a women’s rights campaign called ‘Why Loiter?” to reclaim public spaces for women by loitering. She was chosen as one of hundred most influential women in the world by BBC (2016) and as one of hundred angels of Mumbai by Free Press Journal of India (2022) for her work. She blogs at whyloiter.blogspot.com
