Description
Read, Write, Explore is an ongoing reading programme for ages 9 and 10 that combines the concept of a book club with an introduction to creative writing. I don’t offer trial classes, but if you would like to read just one book with us, you could sign up for part of the August-September edition.
Details:
- We will read Mac B. Kid Spy: Mac Undercover by Mac Barnett.
- There will be four classes in all. Each class is 45 minutes long.
- A significant amount of reading happens independently, outside class. One class will be devoted to creative writing.
- During each class, we will read excerpts from the book, and then do an activity. With this one, we will write humorous poetry and work on our observation skills.
